Abstract:Caohai situated in Guizhou province is a plateau lake. Serious changes of its natural environment have taken place under the influences of human activity all the time. One third of the total sewage from Weining county is discharged direcdy into Caohai Lake to contaminate water, cause eutrophication of water body, have serious impact on balance of the aquatic wetlands ecosystem and human health and restrict the sustainable development of economy, society and environment of the Caohai basin. According to the characteristics of different areas of the Caohai Nature Reserve, some particular methods with phytoremediation technology have been proposed to solve the problems of the eutrophication in Caohai Lake.
