| Abstract: | Being an important figure in the history of the Republic, Tang Ji-yao is either a favorable person or an unfavorable one to the historians. Since the 1980s, the academics have increasingly concerned about him. They have paid their attentions mainly to his performance in the movement of protecting the country and the law enforcement campaign, his governance measures in Yunnan, and his relation to the modernization of Yunnan. |
