Abstract:An exergy analysis of a compressor/ejector combined refrigeration cycle for domestic refrigerators with cooling and frozen chambers is presented to explain the energy saving principle of the combined cycle.Using an ideal model for the combined cycle an expression for defermining COP the cycle under consideration is obtained.The theoretical calculation shows that the exergy efficiency of the combined cycle is higher than that of the traditional simple cycle.
