| Abstract: | An exploited predator-prey system is considered in which individuals may belong to one of two classes: the immature and the mature. By using eigenvalue analysis and iterative algorithm, some simple conditions for global asymptotic stability of the unique positive equilibrium are obtained. What is more,the optimal harvesting problem is further analysed.An example illustrates these results. |
