摘    要:注册是指新连接的或离线的ONU加入到EPON系统的过程,是EPON系统正常运行的前提.该文首先详细分析了注册过程和产生注册冲突的原因,并比较了两种解决注册冲突的方案.然后对IEEE802.3ahDraft3.0采纳的冲突退避方案进行了仿真,并对注册过程中的两个重要参数———注册窗口的大小和周期进行了讨论,得出了优化值.

Abstract:Discovery is the process that provides access to EPON to newly connected or disconnected ONUs. It is a precondition for the normal operation of an EPON system. In this paper, the process of discovery and the reason for discovery collision are discussed in detail. Two different schemes for discovery collision avoidance are compared. Simulation of a scheme for collision avoidance adopted by IEEE 802.3 ah Draft 3.0 is performed. It is concluded that proper size and period of the discovery window are important in the discovery process.
