| Abstract: | Tragicalness is an important aesthetic concept, profoundly explored by aestheticians throughout different historical periods. Though they defined tragicalness in different ways, the essence of their definitions remains unchanged.Withthepassageof time, their understanding of tragicalness has been deepened gradually. The spirit of tragedy has permeated the major classical works in the west from ancient times until now. |
