| Abstract: | The mechanism of formation and development of fracture process zone(FPZ) of concrete is elaborated. According to the strain softening character, a banded microcrack model(BMM) has been developed to describe the innate character and pattern of FPZ. The shape and size of FPZ are quantitatively described and calculated. This model is also comparied with the experimental results of other researchers. |
