| Abstract: | The dynamic response characteristics of Concrete Faced Rockfill Dams (CFRDs) are studied by large scale shaking table test with the finite element method. The results of model experiments together with calculations show that the facing slab enhances the overall restraint, the characteristics of CFRDs are somewhat different from rockfill dams,even though the slab is slightly thick. |
