摘    要:A multiwavelet can possesses the properties of orthogonality, symmetry, and compact support simul taneously, which is impossible for scalar wavelets. A method to determine the multiwavelets from a class of multi-scaling functions is presented using the genetic algorithm, which not only makes the guideline to find multiwavelets clearly and simplely, but also lays a foundation for the application of multiwavelets theory.
