中国引进西方数学的背景、途径与作用

The Background, Channels and Actions on Western Mathematics Introduced into China

In this paper we reveal the historical background on western mathematics introduced into china in the 16th, 17th centuries, and point out that to introduce western mathematiics has three channels, namely, through preachers impart and translate, chinse learned men review, and chinese and western learned men translate and compile together, and the chinese and western mathematice excha- nges. Thus it promates to deepen chinese mathematical studies, trains a group of mathematicians with considerable attainments, and pushs the developments of education in mathematics forward.
