摘    要:本文提出了一种新型的简化混合右左手(simplified composite right/left-handed - SCRLH)传输线 (transmission line - TL)结构。首先从一般的等效电路模型出发,根据Bloch周期性理论对该结构的相移、衰减和阻抗特性进行了分析,结果表明该新结构具有类似带通滤波器的特性:通带内衰减常数为零,特性阻抗为实数并随频率连续平滑分布,具有可任意指定的阻抗匹配带宽;带外特性阻抗为纯虚数,电磁波传播受到抑制。随后本文设计出了一种具有超宽带特性的微带SCRLH TL结构,实物测量、全波仿真与电路仿真结果吻合良好,从而证明了新型SCRLH TL结构的可实现性以及其适用于超宽带滤波器设计的潜在价值。

A Novel SCRLH Transmission Line Structure: Properties and Implementation
Abstract:In this paper, a novel simplified composite right/left-handed (SCRLH) transmission line (TL) structures is proposed. From the lumped equivalent circuit model, the phase shift/attenuation and impedance characteristics of the novel structure are first analysed based on the Bloch theory, which shows the novel structure has properties analogous to those of a bandpass filter: the attenuation constant keeps zero with a continuous and smooth characteristic impedance distribution within the passband and the bandwidth may be arbitrarily specified; characteristic impedance is purely imaginary with the inhibition of the electromagetic wave propagation outside the passband. Then a practical SCRLH TL structure with ultra-wideband characteristics is implemented in microstrip technology, and the results of the full-wave simulation and experimental measurement agree well with the theoretical ones, thus justifying the feasibility of the novel SCRLH TL structure and its unique properties with potential application prospects in ultra-wideband filter design.
