试论新疆棉花原种生产中的选择问题

本文作者从遗传学的原理出发,对棉花原种的纯度提出了新的标准。即对一些重要的经济性状和生物学特性应要求相对的一致性,而对一些无关紧要的形态特征,则不必强求一致。因为在一个品种内保持一定的遗传异质性对提高棉株的生活力和适应性是有好处的。作者对南、北疆两个主栽的棉花品种,“新海三号”和“新陆早一号”经过多年的观察、研究、分类比较、对该两品种的遗传特性及其表型有了一定的认识,在此基础上,对这两个品种在良种繁育中的选株,选系标准和类型搭配提出新的看法,以供种子部门参考,并与棉花界同志商讨。

A Discussion on Selection of Cotton elite Production in Xinjang

Accordinq to the genetic Principles, the authvr suggest a new Criterion of purity for cotton eiite. That is Concerning several iportant economical characters and biological characters, we ought ot demand a relative uniformity; as for several less important traits of cotton plant, there is no need to demand its uniformity. The author consider that in a cotton variety, keeping some genetic heterogeneity is beneficial to the enhancement of adaptation and vitality. The auther studied the character expression of two main Cotton cul?tivars in south and north Xinjang-"Xinluzao 1 " and "Xinhai 3 . on the basis of the results of these studies, the author suggested a new standard for selection of the Cotton plauts and strains for two cultivars. In the process of the production of elite of two cultivars, a now suggestion about proper proportion of different good forms in the cotton elite, was made
