妥泰长期添加治疗癫痫的开放研究

目的分析妥泰添加治疗癫痫长期开放性观察的临床疗效和安全性。方法根据添加妥泰前3个月基线月均发作频率,将94例癫痫患者分为非难治性癫痫组58例(NIE组)和难治性癫痫组36例(IE组),将每例最后6个月的月均发作频率与基线进行比较,并观察其副反应。结果总有效率为69.1%,NIE组有效率84.5%,控制率63.8%较IE组44.4%、22.2%明显为高。副反应主要为反应迟钝、食欲下降、肢体麻木等,几乎均在加量期出现,占31.9%。结论妥泰添加治疗癫痫疗效稳定,耐受性好、副反应小、是适于长期应用的新的高效抗癫痫药物之一。

A long-term, open-label study of topiramate add-on for epilepsy

Objectives: To evaluate the effects and safety of topiramate when used as long-term add-on treatment for epilepsy.Methods: According to the monthly average seizure frequency in the past 3 months before startpoint,94 patients with epilepsy were divided into two groups separately-36 in treatment-resistant epilepsy(TRE) group or 48 into non-treatment-resistant(NTRE) group,Then the average monthly seizure frequency during the last 6 months before endpoint was compared with the baseline and the side effects were evaluated and recorded.Results: The total effect rate is 69.1%.84.5% NTRE patients improved,63.8% of them ceased seizure by this add-on treatment,while 44.4% TRE patients improved and 22.2% ceased.The side effects,such as dullness,lost appetite and anesthesia,almost all emerge at the time when the dosage was upregulated.The rate of side effects was 31.9%.Conclusions: The topiramate add-on treatment is stably effective,well-tolerated,the side effect is mild,topitamate is good as a long-term medicine for epilepsy treatment.
