When the Missionary movement in the West was rejuvenating in the late 19th and early 20th century,there appeared an institute of Chinese studies by America.After three decades of development,this school grew up to be a world China-research Center,which recorded the evolution of Sino-US relations,Sino-Japanese relations and the situation in the Far East before and after World War II,it reflects the growth of the institute from the American missionary sinology to academic learning in modern China.
