“以农业为基础，以工业为主导”述评

为了发展中国的工业化,毛泽东曾经要求农业适应工业,主张优先发展重工业。后来,他又提出要重视农业,工农业不但要同时并举,而且要按农、轻、重的次序来安排国民经济。毛泽东强调农业,把农业放在第一位,目的却在于发展工业。“以农业为基础,以工业为主导”这一方针,反映了毛泽东对中国工业化的认识不断深化和前进的进程。

On "Taking Agriculture as the Base, Industry as the Leading factor"

In order to promote China's industrialization, Mao Zedong had stressed the point that agriculture should adapt to the development of industry, especially with the development of heavy industry as a priority. Later, he proposed that same attention should be given to agriculture and national economy should be developed by the order of agriculture, light industry and then heavy industry. He focused on agriculture and put it in the first position, for the purpose of industrial development. The guideline of "taking agriculture as the base and industry as the leading factor" indicates that Mao Zedong's changing attitude toward Chinese industrialization.
