| Abstract: | West tiaoxi river is an important tributary of Taihu lake and the most pollutants inflowing the river are from non-point source pollution.This paper reviews plenty of recent researches on non-point source pollution in the watershed from the pollution source surveys to pollution load estimates and simulations and summarizes the factors and mechanisms of pollution.Non-point source pollution mainly comes from soil erosion,irrational chemicals utilization and so on,and pollution loads vary with rainfall and land use.Finally,this article proposes some advices on non-point source pollution research in the future. |
