| Abstract: | Chloroplast is a new type of bioreactor. Chloroplast transformation has several advantages:high expression, site\|specific introduction, saftey, prokaryotic system and stable transformation. In this paper, the characterizations, transformation methods,advantages,recent advances,some questions and its prospect of application of chloroplast transformation were described. |
