| Abstract: | The symbol of horse in Madame Bovary has deep implication.Flaubert borrows the image of horse to symbolize the sexual relations between men and women,conveys his view and opinion about the characters in his works.The use of symbolism is related to the aesthetic ideal of "pure objective" art he advocates. |
