There is a long history of the study of discourse comprehension and the results are fruitful,in which the most attention is paid to the textual factors and the individual differences.The research and experiments in the effect of individual differences on discourse comprehension is reviewed on the basis of the experimental studies of psychologists and linguists in the last thirty years.
