CBI理念与商务英语教学

摘    要:社会的发展需要既拥有扎实的英语功底又具备丰富的商务知识的复合型人才,这就对商务英语教学提出了更高的要求。内容依托式教学(Content-based Instruction,简称CBI)主张用英语教授学科知识,在获得学科知识的同时习得语言。这一理念在商务英语教学中的应用既能满足学生对语言知识和技能的需求,又能满足他们对专业内容学习的需求,因此有利于提高商务英语教学的质量。本文在分析CBI对我国商务英语教学的适切性的基础上,总结出这一理论在商务英语教学中的应用对教师的要求。

Abstract:Social development needs interdisciplinary talents with excellent mastery of English and business knowledge, which puts higher requirement on business English teaching, Content-based Instruction advocates teaching a content area in the target language wherein students acquire both language and subject knowledge. To adopt it will help improve the quality of business English teaching, because students can learn both language and business knowledge. Based on an analysis of the applicableness of CBI into Chinese busi- ness English teaching, the paper further discusses its requirements on teachers to achieve good teaching effects.
