摘    要:单信道速率愈来愈高以及采用密集波分复用技术使光纤中的各种非线性和色散效应对长途干线光纤通信系统性能的影响愈来愈大.如何使学生较好地掌握各种非线性和色散效应影响下的光脉冲传输规律对光纤通信课程教学具有重要意义.为此,教学实践中,采用布置大型作业,进行综合训练,引导学生进行系统仿真的方法,使学生较好地掌握相关的理论基础知识,同时增强了学生的创新能力、应用能力和实践能力,取得了较好的教学效果.

Application of System Simulation to Teaching Characteristics of Optical Fiber Transmission

Abstract:Increase of bit rate per channel and adoption of dense wavelength division multiplexing technology make fiber nonlin- ear and dispersion have much impact on performance of long - haul optical fiber communication. How to teach characteristics of transmission of fiber including these effects is important to the course of optical fiber communication. In practice, we introduce a method of combination of big task, synthesized exercises and system simulation. The results using the method show that the students not only learn well but also improve their abilities of innovation, application and practice.
