Changes in the Chloroplasts during Leaf Senescence in Hybrid Rice and Three Lines |

| Abstract: | The structure and numbers of chloroplasts were investigated during leaf senescence in hybrid rice shan you 63 and three lines.The results revealed that the number and size of chloroplasts in mesophyll cells gradually decreased in hybrid rice and three lines.Senescence caused the disorientation of the grana and stroma thylakoids,and an increase in the size and number of osmiophilic granule.Hybrid rice and three lines had similar mode and different course in changes of chloroplast ultrastructure after 11th leaf full expanding.Male sterile line senesced later than hybrid rice,restorer line,maintainer line.It was worthly to be discussed how to make the characteristic of late aging of male sterile line could be inherited by hybrid rice. |
