Abstract:The paper is not referred to as the. "continuum approach". The simplified calculation model of frame-shear wall structure is directly given by the definition of frame stiffness in resisting horizontal displacement and the definition of rotation stiffness for the coupling beam. The top joint rotation is adopted to be elementary parameter. The relationships between joint rotation and its relative horizontal displacement or its adjacement joint rotation are set up by means of the general principle of Structural Mechanics. The calculation order is from the top to the bottom of the wall. At last, the top joint rotation can be obtained, and then, the solution to the problem can be found perfectly.
