| Abstract: | The structure and magnetic circuit of composite solid rotor reluctance motor with a steel sleeve are analysed. An equivalent magnetic network method for calculating the key parameters x_d and x_q is proposed. The formulas of reactance coefficients for salient rotor, on which there are several axial slits along the d- and q-axis, are derived. A few prototypes of the machines are made. The theoretical analyses are confirmed by the experimental results of the prototypes. It is also shown that the composite solid rotor reluctance motor has a good comprehensive performance. |
