| Abstract: | The experiment results of 14 SRC column specimens and 4 composite joint specimens in which the steel skeleton is a pipe with box section are reported. The calculation methods of normal section strength of SRC columns including nonlinear whole process analysis and simplified calculating formulae are proposed. Theoretical results are in agreement with the test data. A new construction scheme for the frame composite joints with SRC column and RC beam is put forward. The practical examples of SRC columns for two tall buildings in Nanjing and Guangzhou are presented. |
