Design and Implementation of Web based Distance Instruction System

The paper introduces a system of computer distance instruction which is based on World Wide Web. Making full use of the Internet WWW servers, the distance instruction system can offer learners to learn courses, practice, and discuss with teachers and other learners. It can support teachers to instruct learners with synchronized/asynchronized mode and manage courseware. Learners and teachers can use Web browser to access the system conveniently. The design, modules and functions of the system are described in the paper. The implementation of the system and the developing technology are also introduced in detail.
