基于OpenGL和分形的三维地形几何模型的研究

摘    要:文章在分形理论的基础上,结合Diamond—square算法,利用OpenGL的API提供的图形库,创建了一种快速生成地形的网格模型,既做到了对地形总体地形轮廓的控制,又充分地利用分形特性表现了地表面的丰富细节.软件实现及实验结果表明,算法生成速度快,只需存储地形参数,既大大减少了数据输入。又降低了系统资源的占用.

Abstract:The study based on fractal theory and Diamond-square Algorithm, using the function which OpenGL provide,establishes a kind of Mesh Model of quickly generating terrain, which can both control the macro-shape of terrain and represent abundant details of terrain surface. The speed of generating terrain is fast,it can only save the terrain preferences instead of saving a large quantity of data using in the model. This mode leads to a calculating method by which we could decrease the number of input data and the occupation of system resource and consequently make good effect.
