大学英语教学中的文化教学——基于新疆大学英语教学现状研究

新疆大学的大学英语文化教学存在自身特殊问题:在学生层面,主要是词汇量不足、中西文化差异、文化方面知识缺乏以及所学专业影响;教师方面,主要是教师自身条件以及教学与科研没有并重;在学校层面,则是缺少良好的校园文化氛围,软硬件条件不过硬,分级教学的负面影响以及教材的滞后。这些都影响了文化教学的开展,要克服这些不利因素,搞好大学英语文化教学,需要学校、教师和学生的共同努力。

Teaching Culture in College English Teaching

Cultural teaching of college English in Xinjiang University has its own special problems. In terms of the students, the problems mainly contain inadequate amount of vocabulary, differences between Chinese and western culture and the lack of culture knowledge and influences of the major. In terms of teachers, the problems include the teacher＇s own condition. Meanwhile, teaching and scientific research are not paid equal attention to. In terms of university, the problems are the lack of good atmosphere of campus culture, imperfect software and hardware condition, negative influence of graded teaching and lagging teaching material. All these problems affect the development of culture teaching. Joint efforts should be made by university, teachers and students to overcome these negative factors and improve cultural education in college English teaching.
