| Abstract: | In 2016, earth science made a series of research progresses in all derived subjects, showing the characteristic of a transformation from "traditional earth science" to a new round of "earth system science". The paper selects the hot research topics such as the influence of global warming, new discovery, etc., and reviews the major events of 2016 in earth science. |
