基于最大阈值的改进EZW图像压缩技术研究

摘    要:研究了基于最大阈值的EZW图像压缩方法,从最大阈值角度出发改进了零树嵌入式编码EZW的算法,先判断重要子带,再进行带中操作,从而提高了工作效率。并结合传统EZW以及去高频图像压缩技术,进行MATLAB编程实验对比,结果表明:去高频图像压缩技术、传统EZW和改进后的EZW,这3种算法都能有效压缩图像,但是在三层小波分解下,改进的EZW算法明显优于其它两种算法。

Abstract:Starting from the maximum threshold angle , we improve the zero-tree embedded coding EZW algorithm.We first determine the important sub-band, and then operate in the band , thus improving the work efficiency .In this paper , we mainly introduce the principle and implementation steps of the improved EZW . With the traditional EZW and the removing high-frequency of wavelet coefficients algorithm , we make a com-parison by using Matlab programming experiment .The results show that the removing high-frequency of wave-let coefficients algorithm , the traditional EZW and the improved EZW are all available in image compression , but the improved EZW has superior effect to the other two algorithms in 3 floor wavelet decomposition .
