The Comprehensive Quantitative Analysis of Guangzhou International Tourism Industrial Structure

The current status and variable characteristics of the international tourism industry’s structure in Guangzhou were quantitatively analyzed by using diversification index method,location quotient method and dynamic shift-share method based on Guangdong province and Guangzhou tourism annual statistics of last ten years in Guangdong.The results show that the developmental level of international tourism industry in Guangzhou was less than the average level of development in Guangdong province and lack of competitiveness.Touring and entertainment sectors which had greater demand elasticity had a small proportion of earning foreign exchange and a low professional quality.Tourism sector had developed in recent years,but still be lack of competitiveness.Entertainment sector’s structural benefits was poor and structural readjustment was needed.City transportation sector had a small proportion of earning foreign exchange and was lack of competitiveness.Long-distance transportation,accommodation and commodity sectors had a large proportion of earning foreign exchange,but Long-distance transportation sector had a low professional quality and commodity sector had no obvious competitive advantage.The structure of catering was rational and had a strong competitiveness,but its level of development was lower than the average level of development in Guangdong province.Post and telecommunications sector had no well development and its all evaluating indicators was low.
