摘    要:作者结合了分形编码和小波编码的优点,提出了一种高效而快速的小波与分形编码相结合的混合图像编码方法。其基本思路为,将小波分解后的图像的低频系数用基于方差的快速分形方法编码,剩余的高频系数用经过修改的SPIHT算法进行编码。实验证明,该混合算法避免了分形编码所固有的方块效应,同时比传统的分形编码相比,大大节约了编码时间,说明该算法具有一定合理性与优越性。

Abstract:A fast and efficient hybrid wavlet-fractal imge comprssion method is introduced in this paper which combined SPIHT coding and fractal technology.The fast fractal encoding based on the feature of an imge block's varianc is applied to the low pass subband of wavelet transformed image and a modified SPIHT coding,on the remaining coefficients.The experimental results demonstrate that the hybrid method can considerably shorden the encoding time method and no blocking effects from fractal techniques are introduced,improved the rationarity and excellence of the hybrid method.
