| 摘 要： | 奥尼尔后期自传性作品《长日入夜行》深受庄子思想的影响，渗透着齐物论、逍遥观和宿命论等观念。是非、爱恨、生死这些传统中的二元对立概念，在这部剧作中实现了“齐一”，主人公埃德蒙对神秘宁静的求索，以及文本中广为渗透的消极无为的人生态度，都可以从奥尼尔的庄子情结中得到阐释。《长日入夜行》这部剧作是奥尼尔借用庄子思想探究并疗救美国社会病根的又一伟大尝试。

| Abstract: | O＇Neill＇s later autobiographical writing Long Day＇s Journey into Night was penetrated with Zhuangzi＇s Thoughts. And Zhuangzi＇s views on equality among all things, peripateticism and fatalism were absorbed in the play. Traditional contradictory concepts, such as right and wrong, love and hatred, as well as life and death, have all become reconciled in the play. Moreover, Edmund＇s earnest quest for peace and tranquility together with the philosophy of inactive life which is reflected in the play could also be interpreted from the angle of O＇Neill＇s obsession with Zhuangzi＇s Thoughts. Long Day＇s Journey into Night was O＇Neill＇s another attempt to study and cure the American social malady. |
