对读者丢失图书馆成套多卷书赔偿问题的思考

现多数图书馆规定丢失套书中部分册按整套书价格赔偿，赔偿后不得索取未丢失其他册。原因是套书具有各册共同记载某一知识体系且出版社多成套销售的特点，并有不再版重印使图书馆无法重置的可能。但如按整套书价格赔偿，其未丢失的其他册应归赔款者所有。如图书馆想拥有未丢失各册所有权，不应让丢失套书部分册者按整套书价格赔偿，可按丢失套书每册高于普通单本、部分册少于整套、册数少者低于册数多的赔偿额度的原则处理。

On the Thinking to Compensate for Damage of Readers' Losing Some Sets in the Serial Books

It becomes a common regulation that in most libraries, when the readers lose some sets of the serial books, they should compensate for damage of the whole serial books, but the readers could not ask for the rest of the serial books. Generally speaking, the serial books has the characters that each set would record the similar knowledge system and be sold through the press, even would not be kept in the library for not reprinting of them- selves. As a result if the readers compensate for the serial books, the rest would give back to the readers. In a word if the library would like to possess the ownership of each set, the readers would not compensate for the serial books, but to obey the regulation of compensating one set over one single book, some below the total, the less under the more.
