Research Advance on Fat Embolism Syndrome

Fat embolism is a common reason leading to sudden unexpected death.Long bone fracture and large area fat destruction always bring to fat embolism,for the reason that the fat embolism migrates to the lung causing pulmonary embolism. In addition to the common pulmonary fat embolism,there are cerebral fat embolism and fat embolism syndromes.Through studying the pathogenesis of sudden death as a result of plumonary fat embolism, the pathogenesis and new evaluation index of fat embolism syndrome, cerebral fat embolism syndrome, and the special causes of fat embolism syndrome,this article reviews the latest progress in the study of fat embolism and explores new indicators for fat embolism detection, which provides new ideas for the timely treatment of primary disease and the deterioration of specific diseases as well as the accurate prediction of death causes. In addition,it also provides reference for future scientific research.
