| Abstract: | By means of a symbol of operation,the new analytical expressions of the frequency equation and the modal function of lateral vibration of a beam with lumped masses were derived.Furthermore,a reccursion formula of the operational symbol was introduced.It is very convenient for symbol operation and numerical method in engineering applications. |
