| Abstract: | Using the crystal field theory method and the point dipole model, we culculate the Raman spectra of Co 2 in CdCl 2:Co 2 and the obtained results are in good agreement with the experiments. In addition, the contribution of the next nearest neighbor ions to these spectra is discussed. |
