Progress on Research of Pinellia ternate

Pinellia.ternata (Thunb.)Breit is a kind of important herb plants. The environmental condition has been seriously destroyed which leads to the deficiency of this resources. In order to effectively protect and exploit this herb resources, a few researches have been conducted. A review is presented on the researches achievements in farm growing,tissue culture,rapid reproduction.And then predict its research prospects.Also included is a kind of lectin-Pinellin,which is a sort of plant protein extracted from the fresh tubers of Pinellia.temate. It has many important functions such as anti-tumour and anti-procreation actions etc.
