| Abstract: | This paper deals with the effect of intake and exhaust resistances on the working process of a high speed diesel engine. By means of the analysis and computation of combustion process, pumping loss, mechanical loss and availabi- lity loss it explains why the effect of intake resistance on diesel engine perfor- mance is so different from that of exhaust resistance on it. |
