| Abstract: | The laws on arrest of vessels vary largely on substan- tial aspect in various jurisdictions and there also exist many dif- ferences on procedure aspect.This paper introduced the legal basis and practical issues on arrest of ships in various jurisdic- tions.Some main issues such as sister ship arrest and wrongful arrest were discussed. |
