| 摘 要： | 通过具体分析英语委婉语的禁忌心理,我们了解到：委婉语作为语言的一个组成部分,其形成和广泛使用是由于人们不同的禁忌心理需要。同时,它也是是社会的一面镜子,不能脱离社会文化而孤立存在,因而英语委婉语具有丰富的文化内涵。

| Abstract: | By analyzing taboo psychology of English euphemism, we learn that： as one of the components of English language, English euphemism emerges and is widely applied because of people＇s various taboo psychological needs. At the same time,it is a mirror of the society and can not be isolated from the social culture;therefore,it possesses a great amount of cultural connotation. |
