An Approximate method for Calculation of the Buckling Load of Nonuniform Beams

It is difficult to determine the buckling load of nonuniform beams with differential equations. Usually in engineering design, finite element method can be used to solve this problem. But in this paper, an approximate method, which is based on the modification of the solution of uniform beams, for calculation of the buckling load of nonuniform beams is presen ted. This is a simple, very effective and practical method. Finally, a numerical computation is made to demonstrate the use of this method.
