摘    要:The representative azo and anthraquinone dyes containing an insulated hindered piperidinegroup were synthesized.The effect of these pendent groups on lightfastness properties of the dyeswas studied,both in ethyl acetate solution and on cellulose acetate and polyester films.The differ-ent trend of fading rates of azo dyes and anthraquinone dyes in solution and on substrates suggestsdifferent fading mechanisms operating in each case.
