| Abstract: | In the paper, the necessity of the calculation and its method for lateral forces on railway curves are discussed. By means of these calculations, the relations of the lateral forces to the train speed, axle load, curvature of the curve, superelevation (or cant ) are found, and the main measures taken to reduce the lateral forces are suggested. |
