| Abstract: | he this article analyzes the cause of early damage failure of hardened gear surface that the gear was used in the principal transmission system of certain type of diesel locomotive, by means of macro,metallograph and scnning electron microscope analysis on damage fracture of tooth surface of hardening gear wheel and strength calculation of pitting and spalling. |
