Abstract:A method for the simultaneous determination of Mn, Fe, Cr, Ni and Cu in organic matters with a powder introduction ICP-arc system has been developed. The results of analysis for the organic samples agree well with certified values. The RSD% are between 6. 03-13. 2% (n = 10) and the recovery ratios are between 95-115% for different elements. Using present method, the concentrations of all elements being determined in the sample are concentrated about 10-20 times. So it is extremely favorable when the quantity of the sample is small and/or the concentration of the element to be determined is low. This method offsets the effects of matrix, particle size and present form of the element on line intensity. It has lower detection limits.
