Abstract:The effects of salidroside on fluidity of human erythrocyte membrabes were investigated by fluorescence spectrophotometry with ANS and DPH as probes in our experiments. The following are the results: (1) DPH labelling result indicates that salidroside may have no marked effect on fluidity of nonpolar regions of membrane lipid. (2) ANS labelling result and the double reciprocal plot indicate that salidroside has effect on the lipid polar regions and causes the fluidity of lipid polar regions to be increased with increasing Med/lip mol ratio. The effect of salidro side on the fluorescence emission spectrum of erythrocyte membrane protein indicates that salidrosid reacts on the membrane protein.
