The Historical Track of Yiyang Tune and Its Modern Enlightenment

Traditional operas became mature in Song and Yuan Dynasties. Yiyang tune,which is famous for its "high pitch", handed down from the southern opera of Song and Yuan Dynasties to Jiangxi province, is juxtaposed as the Four Great Tunes of southern operas with Yuyao tune, Haiyan tune and Kunshan tune and has had profound influence on Chinese traditional operas. When we come into the new century, and when the art of traditional operas are pushed forward by the epoch trend and confronted with great changes again, it's significant to review the history of Yiyang tune and examine the aesthetic nature of it, so as to manage the present existence of Chinese traditional opera and future trend.
