A New Algorithm of Edge Detection Based on Two-value Image

The edge detection, which is a common technique in digital image processing, can always be used to capture objects'main features. This paper introduces several classical edge detection operators, and puts forward a kind of edge detection method based on two-value image, which can determine whether the pixel is an edge point without the derivation of the image and with only 8-neighberhood's value of each pixel. The experiments show that it is an effective technique when used in two-value image.
