This paper introduces the present situation of the residential elevators in high-rise buildings in urban areas of China,and based on the national laws and regulations on the residential elevators,expounds the importance of equipping elevators that can accommodate the stretchers in residential buildings,and according to the equipping for elevators that can accommodate the stretchers in residential buildings in China and foreign countries,discusses some problems existing in setting up the elevators that can accommodate the stretchers,and puts forward some solutions.
